Argentine-born soprano Eliana Bayón is graduated in Maestría at the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. She has participated in masterclasses with the following singers: Renata Scotto, Magda Olivero, Raina Kabaivanska, among others.
She has built up a close relationship with the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, where her roles have included: Le Nozze di Figaro (Susanna), Les Dialogues des Carmélites (Constance), Die Fledermaus (Adele), Die Lustige Witwe (Valencienne) and Der Graf von Louxemburg (Juliette) and La Bohème (Musetta), which Mrs. Bayón has sung under the baton of maestro Stefan Lano, Musical Director of Teatro Colón. She has also sung: I Puritani (Elvira), Rigoletto (Gilda), Lucia di Lammermoor (Lucia), Il Viaggio a Reims (Madama Cortese), Il Mondo della luna (Flaminia), Les Mamelles de Tirésias (Tirésias), L'Elisir d'amore (Adina), Don Pasquale (Norina), Alcina (Oberto), L'Occasione fa il ladro (Berenice), La Prova di un Opera Seria (Corilla), L’Infedeltà delusa (Sandrina), Le Finte gemelle (Isabella), Die sieben Todsünden (Anna I) in the following opera houses: Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Opéra de Chambre de Genève, Teatro Massimo di Palermo Opera Studio, Gran Teatro del Liceo de Barcelona, Teatro Real de Madrid, Teatro Arriaga de Bilbao, Teatro Campoamor de Oviedo, Teatro de la Zarzuela de Madrid, Teatro Piccolo Arsenale di Venezia, among others.
In oratorio repertoire her performances include: Haydn’s Missa in Tempori Belli with the Musiziergemeinschaft Orchestra of the Mozarteum , Salzburg, Haydn’s Stabat Mater with the Orquesta Clásica de La Laguna, Tenerife, Mozart’s Grosse Messe in C minor with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Mendoza, Beethoven’s IX Symphony with the Orquesta Académica del Gran Teatro del Liceo de Barcelona at the Palau de la Música de Barcelona.
She has sung with the following conductors: Jesús López-Cobos, Maurizio Benini, Marco Armiliato, Maximiano Valdés, Josep Pons, Jan Latham-Koenig, Riccardo Frizza, Antoni Ros Marbà, Hervé Niquet, Stefan Lano.
In future engagements, Mrs. Bayón will sing “Susanna” in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Teatro Argentino and “Liù” in Turandot at the Teatro Colón in Bs.As.
